Amber can see

Category: Familyjrblack @ 16:32

Well, it was long over due, but we finally took Amber to get groomed at Carolina Air Canine.  It was a real nice place, recommended by friends that also have a Labradoodle.  This place can board your dog or cat a day or a few days.  They also include a dog grooming business.

While waiting, Amber to got play out side in a large fenced in area with other dogs and she loved it.  Amber got the full treatment, bath, shampoo, conditioner, etc and a hair cut.  Amber is much more responsive to seeing things now… watches butterflies and birds fly by, chases and fetched the ball better… stuff like that.  Now I can’t call her cousin IT any more.

Here are some pictures a few days after her grooming.

She’s a Puppy!!!?

Category: Family | Kidsjrblack @ 07:33

image Recently we enjoyed a visit from my sister Laurie and her children Joey and Jessica.  They knew we recently got a puppy and were looking forward to seeing her.  But when they saw Amber… it was a shock.  In Joey’s exclaimed words… “She’s a Puppy!!!?”

Amber is no longer our cute little lap dog, though she is still quite cute and still try’s to lay in your across your lap.  We will take her for a hair cut tomorrow and see if we can improve the looks of cousin IT.

We had a great time with Laurie, Joey and Jessica.  Time blew by fast and we tried to have fun and enjoy every moment of it.  We enjoyed swimming, hiking, playing, Grasshopper baseball game (they wone!), fireworks, and playing the Wii.

A Wild Experience

Category: jrblack @ 15:57

We try to squeeze in at least on visit to the NC Zoo a year.  Here are some pictures from our most recent visit.  The weather was just beautiful, but a bit too warm.  Every time we go it is just a bit different, different flowers in the planetarium (see previous post), or a new Bee exhibit or how close we are able to get to certain animals.

The helicopter near the elephant exhibit is always a fun time.  This time we saw a baby or small baboon that was fun to watch.  Oh, and this time Old Faithfull water spout was working.

Below is a video of the pictures.  Be sure to check out the button with 4 arrows pointing outward.  Click on this to vie the slide show full screen.  Also depending on your internet connection, you may want to change the quality of the video from 720p down to 360p or from 360p up to 720p.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.
